IF actually helps me AVOID awkward food/diet conversations.


My family is mostly obese. I was overweight for several years but always considered the “skinnier” one and “just fine”. Recently I lost weight and am back in a healthy BMI. This can make my family uncomfortable, especially when I “diet” in front of them. They think it’s obsessive and inappropriate because I am with family and I should just enjoy myself. IF helps me balance both. My family came to visit today. I ate all the food I wanted to. Didn’t talk about my diet and they didn’t bring it up. I feel a little gross because I ate more than I usually do but I have zero stress or guilt. It was a planned splurge. I plan to do a 2 day fast starting tomorrow to reset.
