Is it ok to switch up eating windows?


I'm a big breakfast person. So my eating window is 8 a.m. to noon (doing 20-4). But, I have an important work dinner coming up this Friday. How do you deal with having to change eating windows? Do I just not eat Friday morning and have a 30-ish hour fast before my Friday night dinner? Or, would you just cheat? I'm getting married in January and want to lose 8 lbs by then.
