IF working but want to add in some weight training. Any tips?

Hi all,M39, 184cm, SW 95.5KG, CW 90KG, GW 84KGI've been doing IF since the middle of January, and lost 12 pounds so far. I don't find it hugely difficult, and already almost half way to my goal weight. However, I want to add in some weight training. I'm a complete beginner though. I don't have any gyms nearby and am fairly time poor. I also tend to find gyms intimidating. I am not looking to get ripped, just want to develop a habit. The thing I've loved about IF is how easy it was to get started, as compared to other weight loss approaches. As time has gone on, I've refined my approach with more calorie counting and cardio. I want something similar for weight training. I've asked male friends in the past for advice and they have tended to push me too far, particularly because I seem like a big guy so they think can carry a lot. It's the same thing when you ask online, guys will point you to some vaguely problematic guy online who gives Andrew tate vibes, and expects you to lift a fridge. I just want some genuine tips from anyone who also has got started recently and maintained the habit. Maybe I'll get really into it, but I'm just looking for something simple that I can do consistently via /r/intermittentfasting https://ift.tt/MXAQt1L https://ift.tt/1zUeBcZ
