Peanut butter sandwich and a glass of milk

I've been fasting for years now. Lately I'll say my output has gone up pretty drastically. I'm usually running 5ks, with sprint intervals afterward, walking a lot in the office, lifting, swimming. Point is I'm super active and I'm working out on a empty belly most days like our ancestors did. When I would get back from lunch I would eat a turkey Sammie w Swiss and some fruit thinking the fruit would help me recover quicker the turkey had good protein for recovery but then 2 hours later when I would have to walk to my train I would get woozy. It's like a 10 min walk. So what I noticed is that the turkey Sammie would drop my blood sugar too low and I didn't have enough carbs or fats to stabilize. Turkey is super lean and protien triggers insulin release dropping blood sugar. Fruit was temporary fix would raise blood sugar temporarily. Recently I switched back to my childhood lunch a Peanutbutter sandwich and a glass of milk and it fixed everything. Issue was I wasn't eating nearly enough fats throughout the day this would cause me to binge on carbs to make woozy feeling go away. The macro profile of a PB sammy and a glass of milk is phenomenal. Is the perfect amount of healthy fats proteins carbs for intermittent fasting high output individual. Just thought I'd put that out there. Keep on fasting! It's so important to go without and I say all the time if you can go without food when you're hungry you can go without a lot of things! via /r/intermittentfasting https://ift.tt/SfNdp9R https://ift.tt/P7YI5yl
