Does fasting make your body more efficient in gaining weight?


I've noticed that ever since I've begun fasting, I seem to gain weight extremely quickly (gained 5kg of fat in just one month) even if I just slightly overeat. I realize I've been eating too often and too much of fruits and carbs that's raising my insulin more than necessary, but still, I'm shocked by just how quickly and efficiently my body is putting on fat.
