Stomach ulcer

I got diagnosed with a stomach ulcer about a month ago. I am doing better. But the ER doctor told me that he sees a lot of people who do intermittant fasting get an ulcer. Anyone experience this? I don't want it to discourage me from fasting because I have gotten good result with fasting. And I was only doing 16:8.
